Tanjung Simpang Mengayau or also known as Tips of Borneo is located in the district of Kudat, in the state of Sabah, Malaysia. Tourist can reach here about three and a half hours (or 215 kilometres) drive from Kota Kinabalu, and about 30 minutes from a the Town of Kudat. The tip is the meeting point of Sulu and South China Sea which called Tanjung Sampang Magazo in the Rungus dialect meaning a junction where a battle took place.

Story state that Tips of Borneo is a historical place where the local warriors made a stand against invading pirates who always attack their village during 18th and 19th centuries.
According to historians, at once Ferdinand Magellan (Spanish Maritime Explorer) also stopped here for 42 days to repairs his ships on his way voyaging the globe.

This Sabahan wonderland was officially opened to public on July 2004 by Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, turn it into one of the most must-see tourism spot on Sabah. Sabah goverment itself has spent a million just to improve the infrastructure for the visitor convenient.
