How to Remove a Domain from Google Apps

Before, I had my domain hosted on paid hosting for about a year. Later on, I decided to use Blogger.com for hosting. Anyway, I got the domain from Name.com for about $8.99 after a coupon discount. For me, Name.com is my first choice for a Domain Name Registration. The service is great and as for right now I already have two domain from this site.

Ok, back to the topic at hand. After purchasing the domain and hosted it on paid hosting, I have enable the Google Apps services provided by Name.com. But because of that, I got an error warning that says *Another blog or Google Site is already using this address when I want to set up the domain on Blogger.com. It means that I had to disable or remove the Google Apps first before I can proceed to the next step.


Noted that, when you remove your domain from Google Apps, any information you had created while using Google Apps will be erased. And you will not be able to access any of this information again. So, think carefully before you decided to delete them, make sure that this is what you want...

How to Host Your Blogger Scripts and Files on Google Code

Blogger tweaks or even adding a new widget to blogger template constantly require the use of JavaScript and CSS for customization. Hosting a JavaScript and CSS proven to be better practices than installing it directly to the HTML. This way, the load time will be more faster and more cleaner HTML template.

One of the free option to host a files is by using Google Code. Google Code runs a Project Hosting service that provides revision control offering Subversion, Mercurial and Git, an issue tracker, a wiki for documentation, and a file download feature [Wiki]. This means, with the 200MB file limit, you can upload any file - JavaScript, Image, Video, CSS, Documents etc with no restriction.

How to Add Facebook Send Button on Blogger

Aside from Like button, Facebook now has introduce new features in its collection - the Send button. Its allow users to send your blog post to their friend in diffrent way. The option are :-

  • send message to the inbox of their facebook friends
  • send to the group wall of any Facebook group they are a member of
  • and send as an email to any email address

The message will include a link to the URL specified in the send button, along with a title, image, and short description of the link.


The best thing is, we can integrate it with the Like button in a single attribute. Apparently this only works with the XFBML version, so if you have the Like button on iframe before, you have to change it intirely. But not to worry, its very easy.

We call them conditional because they allow us to specify which parts of the template will appear under certain conditions. How to Hide Things|Widget on Blogger

Updates : More Conditional Tags list

Say you want to hide a widget inside the Post pages and want it to be visible only if you are in the Home page. For example you want the Facebook Like button to be visible in the home/front/main page of your website but don't want it appear after you click on 'read more' link. This trick might be old and simple but I found it very useful and in many way provide you with extra control over your website. Example/demo can be seen on this website as shown below..

I'm Feeling Lucky Button for Blogger

I've come across with this very wonderful blogger hack today. As you can see, i already implement it in the right-hand-side of this blog's search form. This button is very similar to the Google's I'm Feeling Lucky button which is will generate a random post on your blog each time you click on it.

Credit goes to Phydeaux3 , for making this 'widget' possible. You can download the instructions here.

Any question regarding the installation is more appropriate if you ask him directly since he know it better, just in case something is wrong. But it should be okay if you follow the instruction carefully.


By the way, here is a things that you can do to customized it.(if you can call it so)

How to Add a Cool Subscription Box v.1

Have you blog-walking and found that others blog got a very interesting subscription box? There is many variation of subscription box for website and each of them is unique and cool. Not just that, the traditional subscription box for website which only consist of email and RSS feed subscription, now become more advanced with some additional features like Facebook fan page button and Twitter follow button. I am not say that this will increase your feed reader but at least you can make them tempted. Of course there is exception with some websites though.

Well the good thing is, you can have one on your own. Here I will break it through slowly so it's understandable and easy to implement.

How to Add Facebook Like This Button on Blogger

Everyday is a new day. To make it more interesting, many social bookmarking site as well as others well known social networking sites comes with a user  friendly features like icons and widgets to make surfing and sharing made easier.  As for now, Facebook just released its new sharing feature for people to share what they like and interested in while surfing and reading a blog post : “Like button”.

This Facebook Like button enables users to make connections to your pages and share the content back to their friends on Facebook with only one click. Unlike any others sharing option, Like button only need you to Like it or Recommend the post once. You will not bother by any annoying pop ups or request to get permission to access the website.

There are a number of options for the Like button, including the option to include the names and profile pictures of the user's friends who have liked the page. You may also change the colors and the button types.

Add Sharing Is Caring Social Bookmarking Widget To Blogger

Recently i have added this wonderful social bookmark on this blog. Apparently this animated bookmark come with two different theme which is Sharing is Sexy and Sharing is Caring. And since i am using Sharing is Caring in this blog, we will only cover for this.

This bookmark featured some of the most popular bookmarking site on the planet including Delicious, Digg, Technorati, Reddit, Stumbleupon, Designflost, Facebook, Twitter, Furl, Rss feed link and an Email link.
